Resumen

The importance of the study lies in the identification and analysis of the relevance and impact of the products of the theses carried out by the graduates. With the purpose of determining the level of scientific production in the Mathematics Education mention of the Graduate School of the National University of Education Enrique Guzmán y Valle. The generation and innovation of knowledge was investigated, to measure scientific production, with a quantitative and descriptive-analytical approach. Measurement based on an articulated system of components and indicators, in order to build the best mathematical model that expresses their dependency relationship based on them. Measurement values ??that were categorized into five levels, with which differences and similarities between the characteristics of knowledge generation and innovation were analyzed and synthesized. Obtaining the primacy of Methodology and Didactics (48.4%) as a line of research, of students as research subjects (94.2% with quasi-experimental studies, 95.3% with a quantitative approach and 4.7% with a mixed approach), of teachers who are not specialists in mathematics (72.9%) as advisors. Concluding that the level of scientific production in the Mathematics Education mention of the Graduate School is regular.
